Anne-Lise Gastaldi and her guests will delight music lovers with these four concerts, which will take on a special resonance thanks to the acoustics and hushed ambience of the baroque church of Saint Bernard de Menthon. Anniversary edition Introducing the first opus by Anne-Lise Gastaldi, Artistic Director

“Val d’Isère and music have been intimately linked for 30 years. Every year, the stones of Saint Bernard de Menthon church resonate to the sounds of well-known artists and up-and-coming young talents. Every year, mountain lovers become music lovers for three days.
In the spirit instilled by its creator, Jean Rezine, who in the 90s invited talented young students to the first editions of the festival, Classicaval is particularly attached to its missions of transmission and opening up to young audiences. In 2024, Classicaval is partnering the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon with the presence of four young musicians: they will have the rare opportunity for Volkhard Steude, concertmaster of the prestigious Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, to travel specially from Austria to work with them in preparation for the concert.
In this year of the Olympic Games in France, the traditional “young audience” event will be on the theme of values shared by sport and music.
