January Programm Opus 1: From 12 to 15 January 2026

Presentation of the first opus by Anne-Lise Gastaldi, Artistic Director

In the iconic setting of Val d’Isère, the quintessential duo of sport and music is coming together for the 32nd time! A source of uninterrupted delight, the festival has taken firm root over the years while continuing to spark wonder. In recent editions, it has placed special emphasis on transmission, as young musicians rub shoulders with seasoned artists, giving rise to unique, shared moments that are one of the secrets of Classicaval’s success. For the third year running, the festival will welcome students from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon. For the fourth time, Volkhard Steude, concertmaster of the emblematic and prestigious Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, will join us as our special guest. His Stradivarius will resonate throughout the magnificent Saint-Bernard de Menthon church, as he plays alongside other remarkable musicians: violinist Aurore Doise, oboist Olivier Doise, pianist Kojiro Okada and, last but not least, the George Sand Trio.
